But we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of those who are not strong, and not to please ourselves. Let each one of us please his neighbor in that which is good for his edification.




And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up to tempt him, and said: Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said to him: What is written in the law? How do you read? He answered and said: You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole strength, and with your whole understanding, and your neighbor as yourself. read more.
He said to him: You have answered correctly; do this, and you shall live.

Owe no one any thing, except to love one another; for he that loves another, has fulfilled the law. For these commandments: You shall not commit adultery, you shall not kill, you shall not steal, you shall not indulge evil desire; and if there is any other commandment, all are summed up in this saying, namely: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love works no evil to our neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
