And being not weak in faith, he did not regard himself as dead, being now about a hundred years old, nor Sarah's incapacity for child-bearing, and he did not doubt the promise of God by unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, being fully persuaded that what he had promised he was able to perform.

For those who say such things show that they seek a native country. And if they had remembered that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return; but now they seek a better, that is a heavenly [country]. Wherefore God is not ashamed of them to be called their God; for he has prepared for them a city. By faith Abraham when tried offered Isaac, and he that received the promises offered his only son, of whom it was said, In Isaac shall your posterity be called, judging that God was able to raise even from the dead; whence also in a figure he received him.
