So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabite her daughter-in-law with her, returning from the countryside of Moab. And they came [to] Bethlehem at [the] beginning of [the] harvest of barley.
{As long as the earth endures}, seed and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will not cease.
" 'And six years you will sow your land and gather its yield.
"When you reap your harvest in your field and you forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not return to get it, for it shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow, so that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
[Is] the wheat harvest not today? I will call out to Yahweh so that he still sends thunder and rain, so that you will know and will see that your wickedness [is] great that you have done in the eyes of Yahweh by asking for a king for yourselves."
He gave them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they executed them on the mountain in the presence of Yahweh, and the seven fell together. Now they were put to death in the days of the harvest, at the beginning of the harvest of barley.
He who gathers in the summer [is] a child who is prudent; he who sleeps at the harvest [is] a child who brings shame.
Like snow in the summer and like rain at the harvest, so honor is not fitting for a fool.

And God said, "This [is] the sign of the covenant that I am making between me and you, and between every living creature that [is] with you for future generations. My bow I have set in the clouds, and it shall be for a sign of [the] covenant between me and between the earth. And when I make clouds appear over the earth the bow shall be seen in the clouds. Then I will remember my covenant that [is] between me and you, and between every living creature, with all flesh. And the waters of a flood will never again {cause the destruction} of all flesh. The bow shall be in the clouds, and I will see it, so as to remember [the] everlasting covenant between God and between every living creature, with all flesh that [is] upon the earth."
