Proverbs 22:23

For Yahweh will plead their case and despoil those who despoil them of life.

Job 22:5-9

Psalm 22:26

[The] afflicted will eat and will be satisfied. Those who seek him will praise Yahweh. May your heart live forever.

1 Timothy 5:3-16

Therefore I want younger [widows] to marry, to bear children, to manage a household, to give the adversary no opportunity for reproach. For already some have turned away [and followed] after Satan. If any believing woman has widows, she must help them, and the church must not be burdened, in order that it may help those [who are] truly widows.

Matthew 6:2-3

Therefore whenever you practice charitable giving, do not sound a trumpet in front of you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, in order that they may be praised by people.
