As for this image, its head was of fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of brass,

The people came to Moses, and said, "We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD, and against you. Pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us." Moses prayed for the people. The LORD said to Moses, "Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard: and it shall happen, that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live." Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it on the standard: and it happened, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked to the serpent of brass, he lived.


In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city. He appoints salvation for walls and ramparts.

Violence shall no more be heard in your land, desolation nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.







You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your gentleness has made me great.


He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his seed, forevermore."


Was the LORD displeased with the rivers? Was your anger against the rivers, or your wrath against the sea, that you rode on your horses, on your chariots of salvation?


I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of the LORD.




For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.
