Wherefore it is contained in the scripture, "Behold, I put in Zion a head cornerstone, elect and precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be ashamed."
Therefore thus sayeth the LORD God: "Behold, I will lay a stone in Zion, a great stone, a costly corner stone, for a sure foundation: that whoso putteth his trust in him, shall not be confounded.
"Whosoever heareth of me these sayings, and doeth the same, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house on a rock:
and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets - Jesus Christ being the head cornerstone -
For other foundation can no man lay, than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Behold thou poor, vexed, and despised: I will make thy walls of precious stones, and thy foundation of Sapphires;
laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may obtain eternal life.
But the sure ground of God remaineth, and hath this seal: the Lord knoweth them that are his, and let every man that calleth on the name of Christ, depart from iniquity.

Wisdom crieth without and putteth forth her voice in the streets. O turn you unto my correction: lo, I will express my mind unto you, and make you understand my words. Seeing then that I have called, and ye refused it: I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded it, but all my counsels have ye despised and set my corrections to naught. Therefore shall I also laugh in your destruction, and mock you, when the thing that ye fear cometh upon you: even when the thing that ye be afraid of, falleth in suddenly like a storm, and your misery like a tempest: yea, when trouble and heaviness cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not hear: they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me. And that because they hated knowledge, and received not the fear of the LORD, but abhorred my counsel, and despised my correction. Therefore shall they eat the fruits of their own way, and be filled with their own counsels: for the turning away of the unwise shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall be their own destruction. But who so hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and have enough without any fear of evil."

A good man is merciful, and lendeth gladly, and pondereth his words with discretion. For he shall never be moved, and the righteous shall be had in an everlasting remembrance. He will not be afraid of any evil tidings, for his heart standeth fast, and believeth in the LORD. read more.

Thou hast been in the pleasure garden of God; thou art decked with all manner of precious stones: with Ruby, Topaz, Crystal, Jacinth, Onyx, Jasper, Sapphire, Smaragdus, Carbuncle, and gold. Thy beauty and the holes that be in thee were set forth in the day of thy creation.

There is found a place, whose stones are clean Sapphires, and where the clots of the earth are gold.
