That I might declare the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of the vengeance of our God; that I might comfort all them that are in heaviness.

Come unto me all ye that labor, and are laden, and I will ease you. Take my yoke on you, and learn of me; for I am meek, and lowly of heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Therefore I will give him his part in many, and the spoil of the rich he shall divide: because he gave his soul to death, and was numbered with the trespassers, and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.

And one of the elders said unto me, "Weep not. Behold, a lion being of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, hath obtained to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof."

And I saw, and behold there was a white horse, and he that sat on him had a bow, and a crown was given unto him, and he went forth conquering and for to overcome.

Then Jesus turned him about, and beheld her, saying, "Daughter, be of good comfort, thy faith hath made thee safe." And she was made whole even that same hour.

As soon as Jesus heard that word spoken, he said unto the ruler of the Synagogue, "Be not afraid, only believe."

I am the true vine, and my father is a husbandman. Every branch that beareth not fruit in me, he will take away. And every branch that beareth fruit will he purge, that it may bring more fruit. Now are ye clean, through the words which I have spoken unto you. read more.
Abide in me, and let me abide in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine: no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, and ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me can ye do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered: and men gather it and cast it into the fire, and it burneth. If ye abide in me, and my words also abide in you: ask what ye will, and it shall be done to you. Herein is my father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, and be made my disciples. "AS the father hath loved me, even so have I loved you. Continue in my love. If ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love: even as I have kept my father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Jesus answered them, "Now ye do believe. Behold, the hour draweth nigh, and is already come, that ye shall be scattered every man his ways, and shall leave me alone. And yet am I not alone. For the father is with me. These words have I spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. For in the world shall ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

When he had thus spoken, one of the ministers which stood by, smote Jesus on the face saying, "Answerest thou the high priest so?" Jesus answered him, "If I have evil spoken, bear witness of the evil: if I have well spoken, why smitest thou me?"

These words spake Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour is come glorify thy son that thy son may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. This is life eternal: that they might know thee, that only very God, and whom thou hast sent, Jesus Christ. read more.
I have glorified thee on the earth. I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now glorify me, thou father, with thine own self, with the glory which I had with thee yer the world was. "I have declared thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy sayings. Now have they known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me, are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me, and they have received them, and know surely that I came out from thee: and do believe that thou didst send me. I pray for them, and I pray not for the world: but for them which thou hast given me, for they are thine, and all mine are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them. And now am I no more in the world, but they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy father, keep in thine own name them which thou hast given me, that they may be one as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name. Those that thou gavest me, have I kept, and none of them is lost, but that lost child: that the scripture might be fulfilled. Now come I to thee, and these words speak I in the world, that they might have my joy full in them. I have given them thy words, and the world hath hated them: because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

And the LORD said unto me, 'They have well spoken; I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren like unto thee and will put my words into his mouth and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And whosoever will not hearken unto the words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God. For God giveth not the spirit by measure. The father loveth the son, and hath given all things into his hand.

Then said they unto him, "Who art thou?" And Jesus said unto them, "Even the very same thing that I say unto you. I have many things to say, and to judge of you. But he that sent me is true. And I speak in the world, those things which I have heard of him." Howbeit, they understood not that he spake of his father. read more.
Then said Jesus unto them, "When ye have lift up on high the son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; But as my father hath taught me, even so I speak. And he that sent me is with me. The father hath not left me alone; For I do always those things that please him."

and if any man hear my words and believe not, I judge him not. For I came not to judge the world: but to save the world. He that refuseth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him. The words that I have spoken, they shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself: but the father which sent me, he gave me a commandment what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know well that his commandment is life everlasting. Whatsoever I speak therefore: even as the father bade me, so I speak."

His disciples said unto him, "Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and thou usest no proverb. Now know we that thou understandest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee any question. Therefore believe we that thou camest from God." Jesus answered them, "Now ye do believe. read more.

In the former treatise, Dear friend Theophilus, I have written of all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day in the which he was taken up; after that he, through the holy ghost, had given commandments unto the apostles, which he had chosen: to whom also he showed himself alive, after his passion, by many tokens; appearing unto them forty days, and speaking of the kingdom of God;

Jesus answered them, "Now ye do believe. Behold, the hour draweth nigh, and is already come, that ye shall be scattered every man his ways, and shall leave me alone. And yet am I not alone. He that loveth me not, keepeth not my sayings. And the words which ye hear are not mine, but the father's, which sent me. "This have I spoken unto you being yet present with you. read more.

Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God that so it shall be even as it was told me;

Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took meat.

I know thy works and tribulation and poverty, but thou art rich. And I know the blasphemy of them which call themselves Jews and are not, but are the congregation of Satan.

In thy tribulation and when all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, thou shalt turn unto the LORD thy God, and shalt hearken unto his voice.

For verily when I was with you, I told you before that we should suffer tribulation even as it came to pass, and as ye know.

because thou sayest thou art rich and increased with goods, and hast need of nothing, and knowest not how thou art wretched and miserable, poor, blind, and naked. Beware lest any man come and spoil you through philosophy and deceitful vanity, through the traditions of men, and ordinances after the world, and not after Christ. In whom also ye are circumcised with circumcision made without hands, by putting off the sinful body of the flesh, through the circumcision that is in Christ, in that ye are buried with him through baptism, in whom ye are also risen again through faith, that is wrought by the operation of God which raised him from death. And ye which were dead in sin through the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened with him and hath forgiven us all our trespasses and hath put out the handwriting that was against us, contained in the law written, and that hath he taken out of the way, and hath fastened it to his cross, and hath spoiled rule and power, and hath made a show of them openly, and hath triumphed over them in his own person.

Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song unto the LORD, and said, "Let us sing unto the LORD, for he is become glorious, the horse and him that rode upon him hath he overthrown in the sea!

O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things. With his own righthand and with his holy arm hath he gotten himself the victory.

The LORD shall come forth as a giant, and take a stomach to himself like a fresh man of war. He shall roar and cry, and overcome his enemies.

And the ten horns which thou seest, are ten kings, which have received no kingdom, but shall receive power as kings at one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall fight with the lamb, and the lamb shall overcome them: For he is Lord of Lords, and King of Kings: and they that are on his side, are called, and chosen, and faithful."
