And all the whole multitude of the country of the Gaderenites, besought him that he would depart from them: for they were taken with great fear. And he gat him into the ship and returned back again.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

They called upon thee, and were helped: they put their trust in thee, and were not confounded.

By thy life and as sure as thy soul liveth, I will not do that thing." Then said David unto Uriah, "Tarry here this day also, and tomorrow I will let thee depart." And so Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day and on the morrow. And David called him, and he ate and drank before him, and he made him drunk. And at even he went out to lie on his couch with the servants of the lord, and went not down to his house. Wherefore on the morrow David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it by Uriah. And he wrote in the letter saying, "Put Uriah in the forefront of the battle where it is most strong, and come back from him that he may be smitten to death." And as Joab beseiged the city he assigned Uriah unto a place where he wist that strong men were. And the men of the city came out and fought with Joab. And there were certain overthrown of the people and of the servants of David - and Uriah the Hittite died also.

The night is past and the day is come nigh. Let us therefore cast away the deeds of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why rather suffer ye not wrong? Why rather suffer ye not yourselves to be robbed?

But let us which are of the day be sober, armed with the breast plate of faith and love, and with hope of salvation as a helmet.
