LORD, as I listen to what has been said about you, I am afraid. LORD, revive your work throughout all of our lives reveal yourself throughout all of our lives when you are angry, remember compassion.

For the sake of your name, LORD, preserve my life. Because you are righteous, bring me out of trouble.

Then we will not turn away from you. Restore us, so we can call upon your name.

My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to your word.

Look, I long for your precepts; revive me through your righteousness. Vav

Revive me according to your gracious love; and I will keep the decrees that you have proclaimed. Lamed

Hear my voice according to your gracious love. LORD, revive me in keeping with your justice.

It's the Spirit who gives life; the flesh accomplishes nothing. The words that I've spoken to you are spirit and life. But there are some among you who don't believe..." - because Jesus knew from the beginning those who weren't believing, as well as the one who would betray him.

For some widows have already turned away to follow Satan.

every living thing would die all at once, and mankind would return to dust."

A voice says, "Cry out!" So I asked, "What am I to cry out?" "All humanity is grass, and all its loyalty is like the flowers of the field. Grass withers and flowers fade away when the LORD's breath blows on them; surely the people are like grass. Grass withers and flowers fade away, when the LORD's breath blows on them, but the word of our God will stand forever."

Thank God through Jesus the Messiah, our Lord, because with my mind I myself can serve the Law of God, even while with my human nature I serve the law of sin.

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will never fulfill the desires of the flesh. For what the flesh wants is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, and so you do not do what you want to do. But if you are being led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. read more.
Now the actions of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, rivalry, jealously, outbursts of anger, quarrels, conflicts, factions, envy, murder, drunkenness, wild partying, and things like that. I am telling you now, as I have told you in the past, that people who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

I'm the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he'll live forever. And the bread I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." Then the Jewish leaders debated angrily with each other, asking, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" So Jesus told them, "Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you don't have life in yourselves. read more.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I'll raise him to life on the last day, because my flesh is real food, and my blood is real drink. The person who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will also live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven, not the kind that your ancestors ate. They died, but the one who eats this bread will live forever." He said this while teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum. When many of his disciples heard this, they said, "This is a difficult statement. Who can accept it?" But Jesus, knowing within himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, asked them, "Does this offend you? What if you saw the Son of Man going up to the place where he was before? It's the Spirit who gives life; the flesh accomplishes nothing. The words that I've spoken to you are spirit and life.

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vintner. He cuts off every branch that does not produce fruit in me, and he cuts back every branch that does produce fruit, so that it might produce more fruit. You are already clean because of what I've spoken to you.

"I know that you are Abraham's descendants. Yet you are trying to kill me because you've not received what I've told you. I declare what I've seen in my Father's presence, and you're doing what you've heard from your father." They replied to him, "Our father is Abraham!" read more.
Jesus told them, "If you were Abraham's children, you would be doing what Abraham did. But now you're trying to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham would'nt have done that. You are doing your father's actions." They told him, "We're not illegitimate children. We have one Father, God himself." Jesus told them, "If God were your Father, you would've loved me, because I came from God and am here. I haven't come on my own accord, but he sent me. Why don't you understand what I've said? It's because you can't listen to my words. You belong to your father the Devil, and you want to carry out the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and has never stood for truth, since there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies. But it is because I speak the truth that you don't believe me. Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I'm telling the truth, why don't you believe me? The one who belongs to God listens to the words of God. The reason you don't listen is because you don't belong to God."

Then Jesus said loudly, "The one who believes in me does not believe in me only, but also in the one who sent me. The one who sees me sees the one who sent me. I've come into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me won't remain in the darkness. read more.
If anyone hears my words and doesn't keep them, I don't condemn him, because I didn't come to condemn the world, but to save it. The one who rejects me and doesn't receive my words has something to judge him: The word that I've spoken will judge him on the last day,

Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you have known me, you will also know my Father. From now on you know him and have seen him." Philip told him, "Lord, show us the Father, and that will satisfy us." read more.
"Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me?" Jesus asked him. "The person who has seen me has seen the Father. So how can you say, "Show us the Father'? You believe, don't you, that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I don't speak on my own. It is the Father who dwells in me and who carries out his work. Believe me, I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Otherwise, believe me because of what I've been doing.

The next day, the crowd that had remained on the other side of the sea noticed that only one boat had been there, and no other, and that Jesus had not gotten into that boat with his disciples. Instead, his disciples had gone away by themselves. Other small boats from Tiberias arrived near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. When the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into these boats and went to Capernaum to look for Jesus. read more.
When they had found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, "Rabbi, when did you get here?" Jesus replied to them, "Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, you are looking for me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate the loaves and were completely satisfied. Do not work for food that perishes but for food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set his seal on him." Then they asked him, "What must we do to perform God's works?" Jesus answered them, "This is God's work: to believe in the one whom he has sent." So they asked him, "What sign are you going to do so that we may see it and believe in you? What actions are you performing? Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, just as it is written, "He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'" Jesus told them, "Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. The bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." Then they told him, "Sir, give us this bread all the time." Jesus told them, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never become hungry, and whoever believes in me will never become thirsty. I told you that you have seen me, yet you don't believe. Everything the Father gives me will come to me, and I'll never turn away the one who comes to me. I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of the one who sent me. And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything that he has given me, but should raise it to life on the last day. This is my Father's will: That everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him to life on the last day." Then the Jewish leaders began grumbling about him because he said, "I am the bread that came down from heaven." They kept saying, "This is Jesus, the son of Joseph, isn't it, whose father and mother we know? So how can he say, "I have come down from heaven'?" Jesus answered them, "Stop grumbling among yourselves. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him to life on the last day. It is written in the Prophets, "And all of them will be taught by God.' Everyone who has listened to the Father and has learned anything comes to me. Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who comes from God. This one has seen the Father. Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, the one who believes in me has eternal life. I'm the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness and died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that a person may eat it and not die. I'm the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he'll live forever. And the bread I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." Then the Jewish leaders debated angrily with each other, asking, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" When Moses had finished addressing all of these words to all Israel, he told them, "Take to heart my entire testimony against you today. Command your children to observe carefully every word of this Law, because they're not just empty words for you they are your very life. Through these instructions you will live long in the land that you are about to cross over the Jordan River to possess."

"Where is the benefit in owning a carved image, that motivates its maker to carve it? It is only a cast image a teacher that lies because the engraver entrusts himself to his carving, crafting speechless idols. "Woe to the one who says to a tree, "Wake up!' or "Arise!' to a speechless stone. Idols like this can't teach, can they? Look, even though it is overlaid with gold and silver, there's no breath in it at all."

Has a nation ever changed gods when they aren't even gods? But my people have exchanged their glory for that which does not profit.

Now, all the forming of images means nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Their own witnesses cannot see, and they know nothing. So they will be put to shame. Who would shape a god or cast an image that profits nothing?

"But as for you, come here, you children of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes! Whom are you mocking? And against whom do you make a wide mouth and stick out your tongue? Are you not children of transgression, the offspring of lies, you who burn with lust among the oaks, under every spreading tree, who slaughter your children in the ravines, under the clefts of the rocks? read more.
"Among the smooth stones of the ravines is your portion there they are as your lot. To them you have poured out drink offerings; you have brought grain offerings. Should I be lenient over such things? "You have made your bed on a high and lofty mountain, and you went up to offer sacrifice there. Behind the doors and the doorposts you have set up your pagan sign." For in deserting me you have uncovered your bed you have climbed up into it and have opened it wide. And you have made a pact for yourself with them; you have loved their bed, you have looked on their private parts. You went to Molech with olive oil and increased your perfumes; you sent your ambassadors far away, you sent them down even to Sheol itself! You grew tired with your many wanderings, but you wouldn't say: "It is hopeless.' You found new strength for your desire, and so you did not falter. "Whom did you so dread and while you feared me that you lied, and you did not remember me, and did not lay to heart these things? Haven't I remained silent for a long time, and still you don't fear me?" "I will denounce your righteousness and your works, for your collections of idols will not benefit you.

LORD, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in a time of difficulty, to you the nations will come, and from the ends of the earth they'll say, "Surely our ancestors inherited deception, things that are worthless, and in which there is no profit." Can a person make a god for himself? They are not gods!

What profit will a person have if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Indeed, what can a person give in exchange for his life?
