Then Jesus entered into the temple of God, drove out all those that sold and bought in the temple, overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the stalls of those that sold doves, and said to them, it is written, " my house shall be the house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves."
As soon as he entred into the temple, he drove out the sellers and buyers there: telling them it is written, "my house is a house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves."
where he found in the temple those that sold oxen, sheep, and doves, besides the changers of money, who were sitting there. upon which he made a whip of small cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with their sheep, and oxen; and threw about the changers money, and over-set the tables; and said to the dove-sellers, away with these things; make not my father's house a market-house.
