But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. But as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God, read more.
'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living."

Jesus said to them, "Is not this why you are wrong, that you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. And as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God said to him, 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? read more.
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living; you are greatly mistaken."

And Jesus said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy to attain that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, nor can they die any more, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. read more.
But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the passage about the bush, where he calls the Lord 'the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.' Now he is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to him."

So the master commended the dishonest steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.

And Jesus said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage.

That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him and asked him a question, saying, "Teacher, Moses said that if a man dies, having no children, his brother must marry the widow, and raise up children for his brother. Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and having no children, he left his wife to his brother. read more.
So the second also, and the third, down to the seventh. After them all, the woman died. Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her." Now there were seven brothers; the first took a wife, and when he died left no children. read more.
And the second took her, and he died; leaving behind no children. And the third likewise. So the seven had her and left no children. Last of all the woman died also. In the resurrection, whose wife will she be? For the seven had her as wife." Jesus said to them, "Is not this why you are wrong, that you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God? If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on the things above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.

When he said this, a dissension broke out between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor an angel, nor a spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all.
