Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descended from David according to my gospel,

He is not here; for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.

But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

He is not here, but is risen! Remember how he told you while he was still in Galilee,

On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. So she ran, and came to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him." They both ran, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, and the napkin that had been around his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in; and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead. Then the disciples went back to their homes. But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and the other at the feet. They said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him." Saying this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away." Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to him in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher). Jesus said to her, "Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, "I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" Mary Magdalene went and said to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them that he had said these things to her.

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there will certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.

Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.

For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom he will.

And Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then will come to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

From that time Jesus began to show to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised on the third day.

and deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day."

But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee."

And as they were coming down the mountain, he charged them to tell no one what they had seen, until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

And with great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.

We are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree; but God raised him up on the third day and caused him to be seen, not to all the people but to us who were chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

this man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put him to death. But God raised him up, having loosed the agony of death, because it was impossible for him to be held in its power.

But you disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, but killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.

At that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for so it was your good pleasure.

At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.

Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts. Then every man will receive his praise from God.

But, as it is written, "No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived what God has prepared for those who love him," God has revealed them to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may also be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

There is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.

"So do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.

And also some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were conversing with him. Some said, "What would this idle babbler wish to say?" Others, "He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign deities,"because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection.

Now if Christ is preached that he has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

Now when they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered, but others said, "We want to hear you again on this subject."

who have gone astray from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and upset the faith of some.

Some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him,

Then some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him; and they asked him a question, saying: "Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife, but leaves no child, the man must take the wife, and raise up children for his brother. Now there were seven brothers; the first took a wife, and when he died left no children. read more.
And the second took her, and he died; leaving behind no children. And the third likewise. So the seven had her and left no children. Last of all the woman died also. In the resurrection, whose wife will she be? For the seven had her as wife." Jesus said to them, "Is not this why you are wrong, that you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. And as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God said to him, 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living; you are greatly mistaken."

So the second also, and the third, down to the seventh. After them all, the woman died. Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her." But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the passage about the bush, where he calls the Lord 'the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.' Now he is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to him."

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on the things above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret for long ages but is now revealed and made known to all nations through the prophetic writings, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith

For this reason I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. read more.
When you read this, you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that is, how the Gentiles are fellow heirs and members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace which was given me by the working of his power. To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things;

As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you inquired and searched carefully, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaventhings into which angels long to look.

having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there will certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.

Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming when all who are in the graves will hear his voice and come forth those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

The sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done.

To these he also presented himself alive after his suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God.

So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.

When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have."

He is not here; for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.

He is not here, but is risen! Remember how he told you while he was still in Galilee,

having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,

even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Now if Christ is preached that he has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised; if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and so is your faith. read more.
More than that, we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all men most to be pitied.

But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for he looks at himself and goes away, and immediately forgets what he was like.

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by a man came death, by a man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

And he said, "Who are you, Lord?" And he said, "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,

And last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared to me also.

the tombs also were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised,

Immediately the girl stood up and walked (she was twelve years of age). And they were overcome with great amazement.

He considered that God was able to raise men even from the dead; from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back.

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

After that he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.

Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was given. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony to Jesus and because of the word of God, and who had not worshipped the beast or his image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.

Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

who formerly did not obey, when the patience of God waited in the days of Noah, during the building of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were saved through water. And corresponding to that, baptism now saves younot the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good consciencethrough the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. for what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world his invisible nature, even his eternal power and deity, has been clearly seen, being understood by the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;

When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live; and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Hail!" And they came to him and took hold of his feet and worshipped him.

But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands and blessed them.

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."

Eight days later, his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. The doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood among them, and said, "Peace be with you!"

As they were saying this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."

While they talked and discussed, Jesus himself drew near and went with them.

The dead man came out, his hands and feet bound with grave clothes, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go."

After this Jesus showed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way he showed himself:

Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons.

The dead man sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.

But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed; then turning to the body, he said, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,

When you were dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our sins,

and raised us up with him, and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit who dwells in you.

For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
