If, then, the whole church come together into the same place, and all speak in tongues, and there come in unlearned men, or unbelievers, will they not say that you are mad?


But if he refuse to hear them, tell it to the church; and if he also refuse to hear the church, let him be to you as a heathen man and a publican.

For, in the first place, when you come together in the church, I hear that there are schisms among you, and I partly believe it:

Yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may instruct others, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church: but let him speak to himself, and to God.

for God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints. Let your women keep silence in the assemblies; for they ire not permitted to speak; but they must be in subjection, as also says the law.

For I am the least of the apostles, and I am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

For you have heard of my former mode of life in Judaism, that I greatly persecuted the church of God, and laid it waste;





And if your brother sin against you, go and tell him of his fault between you and him alone; if he hear you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not hear you, take with you one or two more, that, by the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word may be established. But if he refuse to hear them, tell it to the church; and if he also refuse to hear the church, let him be to you as a heathen man and a publican. read more.
Verily, I say to you, my disciples, Whatever you bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven.



And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples: "Why does your teacher eat with publicans and sinners?

But if he refuse to hear them, tell it to the church; and if he also refuse to hear the church, let him be to you as a heathen man and a publican.

Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to him, The first. Jesus said to them: Verily I say to you, The publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself: God, I thank thee that I am not as other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the publicans the same? And if you salute your brethren only, in what do you excel? Do not even the publicans so?


Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother that walks disorderly, and not according to the tradition which he received from us.


and wranglings, on the part of men who are corrupt in mind, and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a source of gain. From such withdraw yourself.


but now I write to you, not to associate with any one professing to be a brother, if he is lewd or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner: with such a one not even to eat.

But if he refuse to hear them, tell it to the church; and if he also refuse to hear the church, let him be to you as a heathen man and a publican.

If any one comes to you, and brings not this teaching, receive him not into your house, and do not wish him well:

Take heed to yourselves; if your brother sin against you, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he sin against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to you and say, I repent, you shall forgive him.
