And be not drunk with wine, in which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit;

And they filled them to the brim. And he said to them: Draw out now, and carry it to the governor of the feast. And they carried it. When the governor of the feast had tasted the water that had been made wine, (and he knew not whence it was, but the servants that had drawn the water knew,) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, and said to him: Every man sets out the good wine first, and when they have drunk freely, then that which is inferior; but you have kept the good wino till now. This beginning of signs Jesus made in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

Let us walk in a becoming manner, as in the day; not in riotings and in drunkenness, not in lewdness and in wantonness, not in. contention and in envy:

For the bishop must be blame less, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not passionate, not fond of wine, not quarrelsome, not one who makes money by base means;

But others deriding, said: They are full of new wine.

that the aged women likewise be, in deportment, as it becomes holy women, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of good things,

Nor do men put new wine into old bottles; if so, the bottles burst, and the wine runs out, and the bottles are lost. But they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

nor thieves, nor defrauders, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Whether, therefore, you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Now the works of the flesh are well known, and they are these lewdness, uncleanness, wantonness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strifes, jealousies, anger, party-spirit, divisions, sects, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; with respect to which, I tell you now, as I also told you in times past, that those who practice such things shall riot inherit the kingdom of God.

And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts become heavy with reveling and drunkenness and the cares of life, and that day come upon you when you look not for it.

but put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh.

All meats are lawful for me: but all are not profitable. All are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under subjection by any.

And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may learn what the will of God is the good, and the acceptable, and the perfect.
