Then went one of the twelve called Judas Iscariot to the chief priests, and said, What will you give me to deliver him to you? And they gave him thirty [shekels] of silver [$16.80]. And from that time he sought a good opportunity to deliver him up.
This man therefore purchased a field with the price of the wickedness, and falling headlong burst in the middle and all his bowels were poured out;

No one of those reclining knew for what purpose he said this to him, for some thought, since Judas had the treasure-chest, that Jesus said to him, Buy what we need for the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor. He, therefore, having taken the mouthful, immediately went out; and it was night.

And the cup in like manner, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant [sealed] with my blood, which is poured out for you.
