Blessed be the God and lather of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those in every affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God,

but God who comforts the humble comforted us by the coming of Titus;

For you sympathized with those in bonds, and received with joy the plunder of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession, and one that endures.

Remember those bound as bound with them, and those injured as being yourselves also in the body.

Ought you not also to pity your fellow-servant, as I pitied you?
