And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven the second time,

And the angel of the LORD appeared to the woman, and said to her, Behold, now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were frightened. And he saith to them, Be not frightened: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him: But go, tell his disciples and Peter, that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said to you.

And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.

And seeth two angels in white, sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

This Moses, whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulcher.

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. And they say to her, Woman, why weepest thou? she saith to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. read more.
And when she had thus said, she turned herself about, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith to her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith to him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith to her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith to him, Rabboni, which is to say, Master. Jesus saith to her, Touch me not: for I have not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things to her.

And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if this shall come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they took the money, and did as they were instructed: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came to the sepulcher at the rising of the sun: And they said among themselves, Who shall roll away for us the stone from the door of the sepulcher? read more.
(And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away) for it was very great. And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulcher; for they trembled, and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid. Now when Jesus was risen early, the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, believed not.

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came to the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. read more.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed at this, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said to them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spoke to you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words, And returned from the sepulcher, and told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest. It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, who told these things to the apostles. And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not. Then Peter arose, and ran to the sepulcher, and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which had come to pass.

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, to the sepulcher, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulcher. Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher, and we know not where they have laid him. Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulcher. read more.
So they ran both together: and the other disciple outran Peter, and came first to the sepulcher. And he stooping down, saw the linen cloths lying; yet he went not in. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulcher, and seeth the linen cloths lying; And the napkin that was about his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but wrapped together in a place by itself. Then went in also that other disciple who came first to the sepulcher, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again to their own home. But Mary stood without at the sepulcher weeping: and as she wept she stooped down to look into the sepulcher, And seeth two angels in white, sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. And certain women, who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven demons. And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered to him of their substance.

But Mary stood without at the sepulcher weeping: and as she wept she stooped down to look into the sepulcher, And seeth two angels in white, sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
