And it came to pass when Jesus finished these discourses, the multitudes were astonished at His teaching:

But why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Every one coming to me, and hearing my words, and doing the same, I will show you to whom he is like. And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write; The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God, says these things; I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. Because you are saying, That I am rich, and have increased in riches, and have need as to nothing, and do you not know that you are miserable, and pitiful, and poor, and blind, and naked? I counsel you to buy from me gold which has been purified by the fire, in order that you may be rich; and white garments, in order that you may be clothed, and the shame of your nakedness may not be exposed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. So many as I love, I rebuke and chastise; be zealous, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and am knocking: if any one may hear my voice, and may open the door, I will come in unto him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

And it came to pass, while He is speaking these words, a certain woman lifting up her voice from the crowd, said to Him, Blessed is the womb having borne thee, and the breasts which thou didst suck. And He said, Truly blessed are those hearing the word of God, and keeping it.

in order that all may honor the Son, as they may honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father who sent Him. Truly, truly, I say unto you, that every one hearing my word, and believing on Him that sent me hath eternal life, and doth not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. Truly, truly, I say unto you, that the hour cometh and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and having heard will live.
