He who has a perverse heart finds no good, and he who has a crooked tongue falls into mischief.



And Jehovah smelled a sweet odor. And Jehovah said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. And I will not again smite every living thing as I have done.

O Jerusalem, cleanse your heart from evil so that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?

And his oldest brother Eliab heard when he spoke to the men. And Eliab's anger was kindled against David. And he said, Why have you come down? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the naughtiness of your heart. For you have come down to see the battle.


Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.





This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event to all. Yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

Your way and your doings have brought these things on you; this is your evil, because it is bitter, because it reaches to your heart.


A perverse heart will depart from me; I will not know the wicked.

Therefore I was grieved with that generation and said, They always err in their heart, and they have not known My ways.

A man shall be praised according to his wisdom, but he who is of a perverse heart shall be despised.

And he did the evil because he did not prepare his heart to seek Jehovah.

But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart; they have revolted and are gone.

I know also, my God, that You try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these things. And now I have seen with joy Your people who are present here to offer willingly to You.
