Those who trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches, none can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him (for the redemption of their life is costly, and it fails forever), read more.
that he should still live always, that he should not see corruption. For he shall see it. Wise men die. The fool and the brutish alike perish, and leave their wealth to others. Their inward thought is [that] their houses [are] forever, their dwelling-places to all generations. They call their lands after their own names. Even a man in splendor does not abide. He is like the beasts that perish. This their way is their folly. Yet after them men approve their sayings. Selah.

The crown of the wise is their riches. The foolishness of fools is folly.



The words of a man's mouth are deep waters. The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.





Take firm hold of instruction. Do not let her go. Keep her, for she is thy life.

It is the spirit that makes alive. The flesh benefits nothing. The sayings that I speak to you are spirit, are life. Nevertheless, there are some of you who do not believe. For Jesus had known from the beginning who they are who do not believe, and who he is who will betray him.







And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel. And he said to them, Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you this day, which ye shall command your sons to observe to do, [even] all the words of this law. For it is no vain thing for you, because it is your life, and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land where ye go over the Jordan to possess it.








In the lips of him who has discernment wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.

He who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding holds his peace.

Purpose in the heart of man is deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.


He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good.

A scoffer seeks wisdom, and [finds it] not, but knowledge is easy to him who has understanding.

The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on folly.


Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are his. And he changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings, and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those who have understanding.

For the transgression of a land many are the rulers of it. But by men of understanding [and] knowledge the state shall be prolonged.

Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding put forth her voice? On the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she stands. Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors, she cries aloud: read more.
To you, O men, I call. And my voice is to the sons of men. O ye simple, understand prudence, and, ye fools, be of an understanding heart. Hear, for I will speak excellent things. And the opening of my lips shall be right things. For my mouth shall utter truth. And wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness. There is nothing crooked or perverse in them. They are all plain to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge.

Wisdom is before the face of him who has understanding, but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.
