Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in all things.

This way you may approve (test) the things that are excellent (of more value). May you be sincere and without offense (blameless) to others till the day of Christ.
Give me the wisdom I need to rule your people with justice. Help me know the difference between good and evil. Otherwise, how would I ever be able to rule this great people of yours?
Wisdom is found on the lips of the understanding (discerning). A rod is for the back of him who lacks understanding.
You hypocrites, you know how to interpret the face of the earth and the heaven but how is it that you do not know how to interpret this time?

A rich person is wise in his own eyes, but the poor who has understanding, sees right through him.
Wisdom is near the one who understands. But the eyes of a fool are far away at the ends of the earth.
Let the wise understand these things. Let the discerning know them. For the ways of Jehovah are right. And the righteous will walk in them. But transgressors will stumble in them.
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God. They are foolishness to him! He cannot know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
He silences the lips of trusted advisers and takes away the discernment of elders.
A wise man will hear and will increase learning. A man of understanding will procure wise counsel.
The mind of the prudent acquires knowledge. The ear of the wise one searches for knowledge.
Carefully obey the laws. For this will show your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations. They will hear all these statutes and say: 'Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.'
Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water and a man of understanding will draw it out.
I will do things that shock and amaze them. I will destroy the wisdom of those who claim to know and understand (discern).
I understand more than the aged, since I have observed your precepts.
They do not know or understand anything. Their eyes are plastered shut and cannot see. Their minds are closed and therefore they cannot understand.
