He who lacks {sense} belittles his neighbor, but a person of intelligence will remain silent.
In many words, transgression is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is prudent.
Then they sat with him on the ground [for] seven days and seven nights, but no one spoke a word to him because they saw that {his} suffering was very great.
{O that} you would keep completely silent, and [that] it would become wisdom for you.

My child, if you will receive my sayings, and hide my commands with you, [in order] to incline your ear toward wisdom, [then] you shall apply your heart to understanding. For if you cry out for understanding, [if] you lift your voice for insight, read more.
if you seek her like silver and search her out {like treasure}, then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, and the knowledge of God you will find. How I love your law! The whole day it [is] my meditation. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, because they [are] ever with me. I have more insight than all my teachers, for your testimonies [are] my meditation. I understand more than [the] elders, for I keep your precepts.

Wisdom » Who is wise
The way of a fool is upright in his [own] eyes, but he who listens to advice [is] wise.
Only by insolence is strife set up, and wisdom [is] with those who take advice.
He who gathers in the summer [is] a child who is prudent; he who sleeps at the harvest [is] a child who brings shame.
For, I think, God has exhibited us apostles last of all, as condemned to death, because we have become a spectacle to the world and to angels and to people. We [are] fools for the sake of Christ, but you [are] prudent in Christ! We [are] weak, but you [are] strong! You [are] honored, but we [are] dishonored!
In the heart of him who has understanding, wisdom rests, but [even] in the midst of fools it becomes known.
Pride comes, then disgrace comes, but wisdom [is] with the humble.
