In a multitude of people is a king’s glory,
But in the dearth of people is a prince’s ruin.

It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Or for rulers to desire strong drink, For they will drink and forget what is decreed, And pervert the rights of all the afflicted. Give strong drink to him who is perishing, And wine to him whose life is bitter. read more.
Let him drink and forget his poverty And remember his trouble no more.

“The God of Israel said,
The Rock of Israel spoke to me,
He who rules over men righteously,
Who rules in the fear of God,

For You have heard my vows, O God; You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name. You will prolong the king's life; His years will be as many generations. He will abide before God forever; Appoint lovingkindness and truth that they may preserve him.

Make vows to the LORD your God and fulfill them; Let all who are around Him bring gifts to Him who is to be feared. He will cut off the spirit of princes; He is feared by the kings of the earth.

All the kings of the earth will give thanks to You, O LORD, When they have heard the words of Your mouth. And they will sing of the ways of the LORD, For great is the glory of the LORD.

It is an abomination for kings to commit wicked acts, For a throne is established on righteousness. Righteous lips are the delight of kings, And he who speaks right is loved. The fury of a king is like messengers of death, But a wise man will appease it. read more.
In the light of a king's face is life, And his favor is like a cloud with the spring rain.

Excellent speech is not fitting for a fool,
Much less are lying lips to a prince.

A king who sits on the throne of justice
Disperses all evil with his eyes.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, So the heart of kings is unsearchable. Take away the dross from the silver, And there comes out a vessel for the smith; read more.
Take away the wicked before the king, And his throne will be established in righteousness.

Since the word of the king is authoritative, who will say to him, “What are you doing?”


It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, So the heart of kings is unsearchable.



If a king judges the poor with truth,
His throne will be established forever.

O house of David, thus says the Lord:
Administer justice every morning;
And deliver the person who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor,
That My wrath may not go forth like fire
And burn with none to extinguish it,
Because of the evil of their deeds.

If a ruler pays attention to falsehood,
All his ministers become wicked.


Take away the wicked before the king, And his throne will be established in righteousness. Do not claim honor in the presence of the king, And do not stand in the place of great men;






He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time.



And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the book or to look into it.

When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken and do not write them.”

“You shall appoint for yourself judges and officers in all your towns which the Lord your God is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.

Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of tens.

Choose wise and discerning and experienced men from your tribes, and I will appoint them as your heads.’

These also are sayings of the wise.
To show partiality in judgment is not good.


Now let Pharaoh look for a man discerning and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.


because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
