For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
Therefore pride encompasseth them as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them: and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
Some remove the landmarks: they violently take away flocks, and their feed.
Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and devastation is heard in her; before me continually are grief and wounds.
Then he said to me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and lo, they put the branch to their nose.
For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.
For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

But it hath happened to them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.

Though wickedness may be sweet in his mouth, though he may hide it under his tongue; Though he may spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
