And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why doth your master eat with publicans and sinners? But Jesus hearing them, said unto them, They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill: go therefore and learn what that means, "I desire mercy rather than sacrifice:" for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

And the scribes and pharisees, when they saw Him eating with publicans and sinners, said to his disciples, What is the meaning that He eateth with publicans and sinners? Which Jesus hearing, saith unto them, They that are in health have no need of a physician, but they that are ill: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

And their scribes and pharisees murmured at his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? And Jesus answered and said unto them, They that are in health have no need of a physician, but they that are sick: I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed: the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
