In the fear of LORD is strong confidence, and his sons shall have a place of refuge. The fear of LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.


LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high. He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of LORD is thy treasure.









He who refuses correction despises his own soul, but he who hearkens to reproof gets understanding.


Smite a scoffer, and a simple man will learn prudence. And reprove him who has understanding, [and] he will understand knowledge.

My son, if thou will receive my words, and lay up my commandments with thee, so as to incline thine ear to wisdom, and apply thy heart to understanding, yea, if thou cry after discernment, and lift up thy voice for understanding, read more.
if thou seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures, then thou shall understand the fear of LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth [is] knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright, a shield to those who walk in integrity, that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his sanctified. Then thou shall understand righteousness and justice and equity, [yea], every good path.

Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek LORD understand all things.

Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is considered wise. When he shuts his lips, he is prudent.

Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.

Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is to all generations. Thou have established the earth, and it abides. They abide this day according to thine ordinances, for all things are thy servants. read more.
Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget thy precepts, for with them thou have enlivened me. I am thine. Save me, for I have sought thy precepts. The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me. I will consider thy testimonies. I have seen an end of all perfection. Thy commandment is exceedingly broad. O how I love thy law! It is my meditation all the day. Thy commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged because I have kept thy precepts.







Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the midst of the land where ye go in to possess it. Keep therefore and do them, for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.


Wisdom cries aloud in the street. She utters her voice in the broad places.

I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
