And the angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim and said, I brought you up out of Egypt and caused you to enter into the land which I swore unto your fathers, and I said, I will never break my covenant with you

And God said, This is the sign of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living soul that is with you, for perpetual ages: I set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass when I bring clouds over the earth, that the bow shall appear in the clouds; read more.
and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living soul of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the clouds, and I will look upon it that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living soul of all flesh that is upon the earth.

(for the LORD thy God is a merciful God), he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he swore unto them.

For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God; the LORD thy God has chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, different from all the peoples that are upon the face of the earth. Not because ye were more than the other peoples has the LORD desired you and chosen you; for ye were the fewest of all the peoples; but because the LORD loved you and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand and ransomed you out of the house of slavery from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.

He shall call me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my saving health. Also I will make him my firstborn, high above the kings of the earth. I will keep my mercy for him for ever, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. read more.
I will also make his seed to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of the heavens. If his sons forsake my law and do not walk in my judgments, if they profane my statutes and do not keep my commandments, then I will visit their rebellion with the rod and their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless I will not take my mercy from him, neither will I falsify my truth. I will not profane my covenant, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He has remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded for a thousand generations,

Gimel The works of the LORD are great, Daleth sought out by all those that have pleasure therein. He Honor and beauty are his work; Vau and his righteousness endures for ever. Zain He has made his wonderful works to be remembered; Cheth The LORD is gracious and merciful. read more.

Samech They stand fast from age to age Ain and are made in truth and uprightness. Pe He sent redemption unto his people; Tzaddi he has commanded his covenant for ever: Koph Holy and reverend is his name.

And they sing the song of Moses, the slave of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

Chet It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed because his mercies never diminish. Chet They are new every morning; great is thy faith.

Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

Therefore, how precious are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

Behold, I must build a house unto the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him and to burn aromatic incense before him and for the continual showbread and for the burnt offerings morning and evening on the sabbaths and on the new moons and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God, which is to be perpetual in Israel. And the house which I must build is great, for great is our God above all gods.

O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. A carnal man does not know, neither does a fool understand this:

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide, neither will he keep his anger for ever. He has not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. read more.
For as the heavens are high above the earth so does he increase his mercy over those that fear him.

I will praise thee, O LORD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great above the heavens, and thy truth reaches unto the heavens.

The LORD executes righteousness and justice unto all that suffer violence. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the sons of Israel.

Gimel The works of the LORD are great, Daleth sought out by all those that have pleasure therein. He Honor and beauty are his work; Vau and his righteousness endures for ever. Zain He has made his wonderful works to be remembered; Cheth The LORD is gracious and merciful. read more.

At that time Jesus answered and said, I praise thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and understanding and hast revealed them unto children. Even so, Father, for thus it was pleasing in thy sight.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things in Christ; according as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in charity; having marked out beforehand the way for us to be adopted as sons by Jesus Christ in himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, read more.
to the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved; in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace, which has over abounded in us in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself,

Thou, O king, didst see and behold a great image. This image, which was very large and whose glory was very sublime, stood before thee, and its form was terrible. The head of this image was of fine gold, its breasts and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of brass, its legs of iron, its feet part of iron and part of baked clay. read more.
Thou didst see until a stone was cut out, not with hands, which smote the image upon its feet that were of iron and baked clay and broke them to pieces. Then was the iron, the baked clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold broken to pieces together and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away that no place was found for them again; and the stone that smote the image was made into a great mountain that filled the whole earth. This is the dream, and we will tell its interpretation before the king. Thou, O king, art king of kings, for the God of heaven has given thee the kingdom, the power, and the strength, and the majesty. And everything that is inhabited by children of men, beasts of the field, and fowls of the heaven, he has given into thine hand, and has made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the land. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron; and as iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things, and as iron that breaks all these things, it shall break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou didst see the feet and toes, part of baked potters' clay and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divisive; but there shall be in it some of the strength of the iron, such as thou didst see the iron mixed with baked clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron and part of baked clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly fragile. Concerning that which thou didst see, the iron mixed with baked clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men, but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron does not mix with clay. And in the days of those kings the God of heaven shall raise up a kingdom which eternally shall never become corrupted, and this kingdom shall not be left to another people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. In the manner which thou didst see that out of the mountain was cut one stone, not with hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God has shown the king what shall come to pass hereafter; and the dream is true, and its interpretation sure.

We have also the most sure word of the prophets, unto which ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts, understanding this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy did not come in times past by the will of man, but the holy men of God spoke being inspired by the Holy Spirit.

The LORD reigns; he has clothed himself with majesty; the LORD has clothed himself with strength; he has girded himself: he has established the world also, that it cannot be moved. From this time on, thy throne shall never be moved; thou art eternal. The rivers have lifted up, O LORD; the rivers have lifted up their voice; the rivers lift up their waves. read more.
The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. Thy testimonies are very sure; holiness becomes thy house, O LORD, for ever.

Gimel The works of the LORD are great, Daleth sought out by all those that have pleasure therein. He Honor and beauty are his work; Vau and his righteousness endures for ever. Zain He has made his wonderful works to be remembered; Cheth The LORD is gracious and merciful. read more.

By thy name, O LORD, thou shalt give me life; by thy righteousness thou shalt bring my soul out of trouble.

But now, without the law, the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets: the righteousness, that is, of God by the faith of Jesus, the Christ, for all and upon all those that believe in him, for there is no difference;

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon those that fear him, and his righteousness unto the children's children,

The God of gods, even the LORD, has spoken and convocated the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined forth. Our God shall come and shall not keep silence; a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. read more.
He shall convocate the heavens of above, and the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather my merciful ones together unto me, those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness, for God himself is the judge. Selah.

The LORD has made known his saving health; he has openly showed his righteousness in the sight of the Gentiles.

The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.

Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do righteousness: for my saving health is near to come, and my righteousness to be manifested.

And doubtless I even count all things as loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no one else; I am God, and there is no one like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executes my counsel from a far country; I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it; I will also do it. read more.
Hearken unto me, ye hard of heart, that are far from righteousness; I cause my righteousness to come near; it shall not go away; and my salvation shall not be stayed: and I will place salvation in Zion; and my glory in Israel.

For the LORD shall surely comfort Zion; he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of singing. Hearken unto me, my people, and give ear unto me, O my nation: for the law shall proceed from me, and I will uncover my judgment for a light of the peoples. My righteousness is near; my saving health is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me; and on my arm shall they place their hope. read more.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and those that dwell therein shall perish in like manner; but my saving health shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall never perish. Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; do not fear the reproach of men, neither be afraid of their revilings. For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my saving health from age to age.

Gimel The works of the LORD are great, Daleth sought out by all those that have pleasure therein. He Honor and beauty are his work; Vau and his righteousness endures for ever.

TZADDI. Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments. Thou hast commanded righteousness, which consists of thy testimonies and thy truth. My zeal has consumed me, because my enemies have forgotten thy words. read more.
Thy word is very pure; therefore thy slave loves it. I am small and despised; yet I have not forgotten thy precepts. Thy righteousness is eternal righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
