But the wisdom that is from above first is pure, then peaceable, mild, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Whoever therefore heareth these words of mine, and performeth them, I will compare him to a prudent man, who built his house on a rock:

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another by psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude singing in your hearts to the Lord.

Pretending to be wise they Became fools: and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for an image like to corruptible man, and birds, and beasts, and reptiles.

For, since in the wisdom of God the world by it's wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by what they called the folly of preaching to save those that believe.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgements, and his ways not to be traced out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord, or who hath been his counsellor?

He is before all, and by Him all things subsist.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

For the doctrine of the cross is to them, that perish, foolishness: but to us, who are saved, it is the power of God.

And upon this occasion Jesus opened his mouth and said, "I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and knowing, and hast revealed them to babes:

Let no one deceive himself: if any among you seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be truly wise.

For ye see by your calling, brethren, that not many wise men according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called: but God hath chosen things that are foolish in the eye of the world to put it's wise men to confusion; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty;

that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly regions;

which all your adversaries shall not be able to contradict nor withstand.

and they were not able to resist the wisdom and spirit by which he spake.
