Do not trust in nobles, in man, who cannot save. When his breath leaves him, he returns to the ground; on that day his plans die.






Who among you fears the Lord,
listening to the voice of His Servant?
Who among you walks in darkness,
and has no light?
Let him trust in the name of Yahweh;
let him lean on his God.

Everyone has to be on guard against his friend. Don't trust any brother, for every brother will certainly deceive, and every friend spread slander. Each one betrays his friend; no one tells the truth. They have taught their tongues to speak lies; they wear themselves out doing wrong. You live in [a world] of deception.
