His head and his hairs were white as white wool, as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; and his feet were like fine brass, as if burning in a furnace; and his voice was as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars; and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword; and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead; and he laid his right hand on me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last, and he that liveth; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore; and I have the keys of death and the underworld.

And the shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men; and they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they have tails like scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men five months. They have over them a king, the angel of the abyss, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek he hath for his name Apollyon. The first woe is past; behold, two woes more are yet to come. And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice out of the four horns of the golden altar, which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Loose the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.
