there came to him a woman having an alabaster bottle of very costly ointment, and poured it on his head while he was reclining at table. But the disciples seeing it, were much displeased, saying, To what purpose is this waste?. For this might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. read more.
And Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, Why do ye trouble the woman? For she hath done a good deed to me. For the poor ye have always with you; but me ye have not always. For she, in pouring this ointment on my body, hath done it to prepare me for burial.

Then Mary, taking a pound of ointment of pure spikenard, very costly, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the odor of the ointment. But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples, he who was about to betray him, saith, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred denaries, and given to the poor? read more.
And this he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and kept the purse, and bore what was put therein. Then said Jesus, Let her alone, that she may keep it until the day of my burial.

For I received of the Lord, what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took a loaf, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, This is my body, which is for you; this do in remembrance of me.

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting upon a scarletcolored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with great wonder. And the angel said to me, Wherefore didst thou wonder? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads, and the ten horns. The beast which thou sawest, was, and is not, and is to come up out of the abyss, and goeth into perdition; and they that dwell on the earth, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder, when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and yet will come. Here is the mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And they are seven kings; five of them are fallen, one is; the other is not yet come, and when he hath come, he must remain a short time. And the beast that was, and is not, he is an eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, who have received no kingdom as yet, but receive authority as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb; and the Lamb will overcome them, because he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they who are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. And he saith to me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. And the ten horns which thou sawest, and the beast, these will hate the harlot, and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh, and will burn her up with fire.

And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fallen out of heaven to the earth, and to him was given the key of the pit of the abyss; and he opened the pit of the abyss. And there went up a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And out of the smoke went forth locusts upon the earth, and to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power; read more.
and it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only those men who have not the seal of God upon their foreheads; and it was given to them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months; and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when it hath struck a man. And in those days men will seek death, and shall not find it; and will desire to die, and death will flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men; and they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they have tails like scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men five months. They have over them a king, the angel of the abyss, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek he hath for his name Apollyon. The first woe is past; behold, two woes more are yet to come. And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice out of the four horns of the golden altar, which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Loose the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.
