Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; be ye therefore prudent as serpents and innocent as doves. But keep yourselves from men, for they will deliver you up in councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; and ye shall even be brought before princes and kings for my sake, for testimony unto them and to the Gentiles. read more.
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak, for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. And brother shall deliver up brother unto death, and the father the child, and children shall rise up against their parents and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name, but he that endures to the end shall be saved.

And Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the age? read more.

And ye shall be hated by everyone for my name, but he that shall persevere unto the end, the same shall be saved.

I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he shall take away; and every one that bears fruit, he shall purge that they may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. read more.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abides in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I AM the vine, ye are the branches: he that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing. He who does not abide in me shall be cast forth as an unsound branch and shall wither, and they are gathered and cast into the fire and are burned. If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. In this is my Father clarified, in that ye bear much fruit; and in this manner ye shall be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken unto you that my joy may abide in you and that your joy might be fulfilled. This is my commandment, That ye love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his soul for his friends. Ye are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you. From now on I do not call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his lord does; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it unto you. This I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. And now, O Father, clarify thou me with thine own self with that clarity which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou didst give me out of the world; thine they were, and thou didst give them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them; I do not pray for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all my things are thine, and thine are mine; and I have been clarified in them. And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, those whom thou hast given me, keep them in thy name, that they may be one, as we are. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, That we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of the wicked one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hates you.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
God, having spoken many times and in many ways in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last times spoken unto us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the ages;

In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness apprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not the Light, but was sent to bear witness of the Light. Through faith we understand that the ages were framed by the word of God, that which is seen being made of that which was not seen.

Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, with thy sword; from men, with thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, who have their portion in this life and whose belly thou dost fill with thy provision: they satisfy their sons and leave the rest to their family.
For we speak perfect wisdom of God, and not the wisdom of this age nor of the princes of this age, that come to nought, but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God predestined before the ages unto our glory, which none of the princes of this age knew (for had they known it, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory).
