Lo! I send you forth as sheep into the midst of wolves. Be therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware of men. For they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; and ye will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, that ye may bear testimony to them and to the gentiles. read more.
But when they deliver you up, be not anxious as to how or What ye shall speak; for it will be given you in that hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you. And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child; and children will rise up against their parent, and put them to death; and ye will be hated by all on account of my name. But he that endureth to the end will be saved.

And Jesus went out, and was going from the temple; and his disciples came to him, to show him the buildings of the temple. And he answering said to them, See ye not all these? Truly do I say to you, There will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down. And as he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? and what will be the signs of thy coming, and of the end of the world? read more.

And as some were saying of the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones, and sacred gifts, he said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in which there will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be throw down. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye will abide in my love, even as I have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full. This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things which I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you. Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever ye ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. This I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hateth you, ye know that it hath hated me before it hated you. For this is the message that ye have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; not as Cain was of the Evil One, and slew his brother. And wherefore did he slay him? Because his own works were evil, and his brothers righteous. Wonder not, brethren, if the world hateth you.

Through faith we perceive that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that that which is seen hath not been made out of things which appear.
