Nevertheless, thou shalt go unto thy fathers in peace, and shalt be buried when thou art of a good age: and in the fourth generation they shall come hither again, for the wickedness of the Amorites is not yet full." When the sun was down and it was waxed dark, behold, there was a smoking furnace and a fire brand that went between the said pieces. And that same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "Unto thy seed will I give this land, from the river of Egypt, even unto the great river Euphrates: the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Giants, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites and the Jebusites."

Exodus 6:8

And I will bring you unto the land over the which I did lift up my hand to give it unto Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and will give it unto you for a possession: even I the LORD.'"
