And he said, "A certain man had two sons, and the younger of them said to his father, father, give me my part of the goods that to me belongeth. And he divided unto them his substance.

He remembereth mercy: and helpeth his servant Israel. Even as he promised to our fathers, Abraham and to his seed forever."

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out into a place which he should afterward receive to inheritance, and he went out, not knowing whither he should go. By faith he removed into the land that was promised him, as into a strange country, and dwelt in tabernacles: and so did Isaac, and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise.

Now therefore so say unto my servant David, thus sayeth the LORD of Hosts, 'I took thee out of a shepherd's cote from following sheep to be a ruler over my people Israel. Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant, which God hath made unto our fathers, saying to Abraham, 'Even in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.'

Surely, very much. First: unto them was committed the word of God.

If ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs by promise.

For the promise that he should be heir of the world was not given to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law: but through the righteousness which cometh of faith. For if they which are of the law be heirs, then is faith but vain, and the promise of none effect. Because the law causeth wrath. For where no law is, there is no transgression.read more.
Therefore by faith is the inheritance given, that it might come of favour: and that the promise might be sure to all the seed. Not to them only which are of the law: but also to them which are of the faith of Abraham, which is the father of us all. And for this cause is he the mediator of the new testament, that through death which chanced for the redemption of those transgressions that were in the first testament, they which were called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

For if the inheritance come of the law, it cometh not of promise: but God gave it unto Abraham by promise.

giving thanks unto the father which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of saints in light.

If we be sons, we are also heirs: the heirs, I mean, of God: and heirs annexed with Christ. If so be that we suffer together, that we may be glorified together.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my seat, even as I overcame and have sitten with my father, in his seat.

For the LORD's part is his folk, and Israel is the portion of his inheritance.

And the Lord shall inherit Judah which is his part in the holy ground, and he shall choose Jerusalem yet again.
