be tenderly affected with brotherly love to each other, in honor preferring one another:

We were therefore comforted by your consolation; and rejoiced the more at the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all; and because if I boasted of any thing to him concerning you, I was not ashamed; but as we have spoken all things to you in truth, so likewise our boasting of you to Titus was truth. And his bowels are exceedingly moved towards you, when he calls to mind the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.

so we, being affectionately desirous of you, were willing to impart to you, not only the gospel of God, but even our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

For God is my witness, how much I long for you all, as with the bowels of Jesus Christ.

My little children, of whom I do as it were travail in birth again,

that which besets me daily, the care of all the churches.

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: so we, being affectionately desirous of you, were willing to impart to you, not only the gospel of God, but even our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
