And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is allied with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the woods are moved by the wind.
And all of them conspired together to come and fight against Jerusalem and do harm to it.

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ." Why do the nations rage, and the peoples meditate on a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers plot together, against Jehovah and against His anointed, saying,
For I will gather all nations to battle against Jerusalem; and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women raped. And half of the city shall go into exile, and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
And he will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle. The number of them is as the sand of the sea. And they went up over the breadth of the earth and circled around the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of Heaven and devoured them.
For I have heard the slander of many; fear is on every side; because of their plottings together against me, they planned to take away my life.
They stir up strife; they hide themselves; they watch my steps as they wait for my soul.
Both hands are on evil, to do it well. The ruler asks for a bribe, and the judge also; and the great man speaks the evil desire of his soul. So they weave it together.
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You, which frames mischief by a law? They gather themselves against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

So says Jehovah: Those who uphold Egypt shall also fall, and the pride of her power shall come down. From Migdol to Syene they shall fall in it by the sword, says the Lord Jehovah.
Are you better than No Amon, that dwelt among the Nile branches, waters all around her, whose rampart was the sea, the waters her wall? Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, yea, without end. Put and Lubim were among your helpers. Yet she went into exile; she went into captivity, and her young children also were dashed to pieces at the head of all the streets; and they cast lots for her honorable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the people of the land where you go, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you.
You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.
And the men of Israel said to the Hivites, Perhaps you are living among us, and how shall we make a treaty with you?
And Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, I am your servant and your son. Come up and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me.
Woe to the rebellious sons, says Jehovah, who make advice, but not of Me; and who cover with a covering, but not of My Spirit, that they add sin to sin;
Ephraim feeds on wind and follows after the east wind. He daily multiplies lies and cruelty. And they make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
And Egypt is a man, and not God; and their horses are flesh, and not Spirit. When Jehovah shall stretch out His hand, both he who helps shall fall, and he who is helped shall fall down, and they shall all cease together.
What will you say when he comes to punish you? For you have taught them to be rulers over you for a head. Do not pangs seize you, like a woman in travail?
I called for my lovers, but they deceived me; my priests and my elders expired in the city while they sought food for them to bring back their life.
