However, the people that dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are walled, very great. And also we saw the children of Anak there.

For Israel has forgotten his Maker, and builds temples. And Judah has multiplied cities. But I will send a fire on his cities, and it shall burn up her palaces.

who causes destruction to flash out against the strong, and destruction comes against the fortress. They hate him who rebukes in the gate, and they despise him who speaks uprightly.

And the fortress shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the rest of Syria. They shall be as the glory of the sons of Israel, says Jehovah of Hosts.

For You have made a heap from a city; a fortified city into a ruin; a citadel of foreigners to be no city; it shall never be built.
