6 Bible Verses about Arrogance, In The Church

For I fear, lest it come to pass, that when I come I shall not find you such as I would: and I shall be found unto you such as I would not. I fear lest there be found among you debate, envying, wrath, strife, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, and discord.

Some swell, as though I would come no more at you:

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not exceeding wise, and that they trust not in the uncertain riches, but in the living God, which giveth us abundantly all things to enjoy them,

To speak of things dedicated unto idols, we are sure that we all have knowledge. Knowledge maketh a man swell: but love edifieth.

Some swell, as though I would come no more at you: but I will come to you shortly, if God will, and will know not the words of them which swell, but the power.

And ye swell and have not rather sorrowed, that he which hath done this deed might be put from among you.
