I, I which shall bear you unto your last age, I have made you; I will also nourish you, bear you and save you.

Thou shalt rise up before the hoar head and reverence the face of the old man; and dread thy God, for I am the LORD.

If there be any that provideth not for his own, and namely for them of his household, the same denieth the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Rebuke not an elder: but exhort him as a father, and the younger men as brethren, the elder women as mothers, the younger as sisters, with all pureness.

So that he gave answer himself, and said, "Considering that I am young, and ye be men of age, I was afraid, and durst not show forth my mind, for I thought thus within myself: It becometh old men to speak, and the aged to teach wisdom.
