Caring For The Sick

I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you took care of Me; I was in prison and you visited Me.'
The one who oppresses the poor insults their Maker, but one who is kind to the needy honors Him.

Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? He should call for the elders of the church, and they should pray over him after anointing him with olive oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.
If anyone has this world's goods and sees his brother in need but shuts off his compassion from him-how can God's love reside in him?
Now when Job's three friends-Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite-heard about all this adversity that had happened to him, each of them came from his home. They met together to go and offer sympathy and comfort to him. When they looked from a distance, they could [barely] recognize him. They wept aloud, and each man tore his robe and threw dust into the air and on his head. Then they sat on the ground with him seven days and nights, but no one spoke a word to him because they saw that his suffering was very intense.
