And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you.

But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, even from my mother's womb, and called me through his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; straightway I conferred not with flesh and blood:

For behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called :

Wisdom crieth aloud in the street; She uttereth her voice in the broad places; She crieth in the chief place of concourse; At the entrance of the gates, In the city, she uttereth her words: How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? Turn you at my reproof: Behold, I will pour out my spirit upon you; I will make known my words unto you. For the gifts and the calling of God are not repented of.

For what is the hope of the godless, though he get him gain, When God taketh away his soul? Will God hear his cry, When trouble cometh upon him? Will he delight himself in the Almighty, And call upon God at all times?

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah?
