Hear O Israel! thou art passing, to-day, over the Jordan, to go in to dispossess nations, greater and stronger than thou, - cities great and fortified into the heavens;

For ye are passing over the Jordan, to enter to possess the land which Yahweh your God, is giving unto you, - so shall ye possess it and dwell therein.

But, when ye shall pass over the Jordan, and settle down in the land which, Yahweh your God, is causing you to inherit, - and he shall give you rest from all your enemies round about, and ye shall dwell securely,

So then it shall be in the day when ye shall pass over the Jordan, into the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, - that thou shalt rear thee up great stones, and plaster them with plaster;
