Then he asked another, 'And how much do you owe?' He answered, 'Twelve hundred bushels of wheat:' He said to him, 'Take your bill and write nine hundred and sixty.'
Since they could not pay him, he graciously canceled the debts for both of them. Now which one of them will love him more?"
And the master was enraged and turned him over to the official torturers, until he should pay the whole debt.
And if he has done you any wrong and owes you anything, charge it to my account,
Then his master called to him, and said, 'I cancelled all that huge debt of yours, because you pleaded with me to do so.
They certainly were delighted to do it, and they really are under obligation to them, for if the heathen peoples have shared in their spiritual blessings, they ought to serve them in material blessings.
But if it is by His unmerited favor, it is not at all conditioned on what they have done. If that were so, His favor would not be favor at all.
