A case of immorality is reported as actually existing among you, an immorality unheard of even among the heathen that a man cohabits with his father's wife.

But if they do not practice self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to be burning in the fire of passion.

Keep on running from sexual immorality! Any other sin that a man commits is one outside his body, but the man who commits the sexual sin is sinning against his own body.

For it is God's will that you should keep pure in person, that you should practice abstinence from sexual immorality,

but because of so much sexual immorality every man should have a wife of his own, and every woman a husband of her own.

A married man is concerned about the affairs of the world, and how he can please his wife, and so his devotion is divided.

For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, immorality, stealing, false witnessing, irreverent speech.

To unmarried people and to widows I would say this: It would be a fine thing for them to remain single, as I am.

for after the resurrection men do not marry and women are not married, but continue to live together as the angels do in heaven.
