Pray for us; for we trust we have a good conscience, desiring to behave ourselves well in all things.
But sin taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of desire: for without the law sin was dead.
I will have mercy and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
But they that desire to be rich, fall into temptation, and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful desires, which plunge men into destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evils; which some coveting, have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

This is a faithful saying, If a man desireth the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
And they that are Christ's, have crucified the flesh with its affections and desires.

And do this, knowing the season, that it is high time now to awake out of sleep; for salvation is nearer to us now, then when we first believed. The night is far spent; the day is at hand, let us therefore put off the works of darkness, and put on the armour of light. Let us walk decently, as in the day; not in banqueting and drunken entertainments, not in uncleannesses and wantonness, not in strife and envy.read more.
