And I will extend my hand over Judah and over all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place and the name of their religious persons with their priests

knowing this: that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed that we should not serve sin any longer.

And I will destroy your high places and cut down your images and cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

and thou shalt say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD. The habitation of God is eternal, and underneath the everlasting arms; he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee and shall say, Destroy them.

For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David, his father; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places and the groves and the graven images and the molten images. He did the same in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, with their swords round about.
