Brothers, I declared the good news to you. You have received it and should continue strong in it. You will be saved through the good news if you hold fast to the word I preached to you. That way you will not believe in vain. First of all, I delivered to you what I also received, how Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.
He is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning (commencement), the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence (first place).
He is not here, for he has risen just as he promised. Come; see the place where the Lord lay.
He said to them: Do not be amazed. Jesus the Nazarene, who has been impaled, is not here. He has risen. Behold, the place where they laid him!
And if Christ is not resurrected, your faith is worth nothing, and you are still in your sins.
