Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh that corrected us, and we gave them respect. Shall we not much more be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

Jesus answered them: Truly I tell you the Son can do nothing by himself. He sees the Father do something and then he does it. Whatever the Father does the Son does in like manner.
I spoke not from myself but from the Father who sent me. He has given me a commandment concerning what I should say when I speak. I know that his commandment means everlasting life. Therefore I say the things the Father tells me to say.
According to the Scriptures: God has placed all things under his control (subjection). (Ephesians 1:22) But when he said all things are placed under him, it is with the exception of [God]. For [God] is the one who placed all things under him (Christ). (1 Peter 3:22) (John 3:35) When all things shall be subdued under the Son, then the Son will also be subjected to God who put all things under him, that God may be all in all (ruler over everything).
In the days of his life on earth, when he [Christ] offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to the one who was able to save him out of death, and was heard because of his godly reverence. (Galatians 1:1) (Psalm 69:13) Although he was a Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.
When Christ came into the world he said: 'Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but you have prepared a body for me. You have no pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin.' Then I said: 'I have come in the scroll of the book. It is written about me, to do your will, O God.'
Be subject (obedient) (subordinate) to one another in reverence of Christ.
Have this attitude (mind-set) (understanding) (mental state) in you that was also in Christ Jesus. He existed in the form (shape and nature) of God but did not try to be equal with God. He did not even consider it! He emptied (humbled) himself by taking the form of a servant. He was made in the likeness of men.
The congregation is subject to Christ. Likewise let the wives also be to their husbands in everything.
He (God) put all things in subjection under his feet, and made him head over all things to the congregation, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills (accomplishes) (completes) all in all.
He is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning (commencement), the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence (first place).
Be strong and very courageous, that you may be careful to do according to all the Law, which Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law will not depart out of your mouth. You must meditate (intensely study) (think deeply) on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. Then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Establish my footsteps in your word, and do not let any iniquity have dominion over me.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. You were called in one body for this purpose. You be thankful.
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, who deceive themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror. He sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was.read more.

Obey those who lead you. Submit to them: for they watch in behalf of your lives and must account for this. Obey them that their work may be a joy and not a burden; that would be without gain for you.
Let every person be subject to superior authorities. For there is no authority except by God. God allows the authorities to serve in their positions.
I exhort you, brothers, you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the holy ones. That you submit yourselves to such, and to every one that helps with us, and labors.

Whoever opposes the authority resists the ordinance of God. Those who resist will receive judgment. For rulers are objects of fear, not to good works, but to the evil. Will you not have respect for the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from it. He is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid for he does not bear the sword in vain. He is the minister of God, an avenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil.read more.
You must be in subjection, not only because of that wrath, but also for the sake of your conscience. That is why you pay taxes. They are God's ministers continually serving this very purpose. Render therefore to all their due. Provide tribute to whom tribute is due. Give custom to whom custom is owed. Render fear to whom fear is owed and offer honor to whom honor is deserved.
Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, and to be ready to do every good work,
Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it is to the king, or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do good.
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the congregation, he being the savior of the body. The congregation is subject to Christ. Likewise let the wives also be to their husbands in everything.
They may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God will not be (defamed) dishonored.
In like manner, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands. Even if your husband does not obey God's word, he may be won without a word by observing the way you live.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise. Then it will go well with you, and you may live long on the earth.
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land Jehovah your God gives you.
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing in the Lord.
Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of your heart, as to Christ. This should not be in the way of eye service, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from a complete heart; with goodwill doing service, as to God, and not to men.read more.
You know that whatever good thing each person does, the same shall he receive again from God, whether he be slave or free.
Servants, obey your masters according to the flesh in all things, not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, respecting God. Whatever you do, work at it without reservation, as to God, and not to men. You know that God will give you the reward of the inheritance when you serve the Master, Christ.
Servants should to be in subjection to their masters (overseers) (employers). They should please them in all things and not talk back. They should not steal from them, but should show good fidelity that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle master but also to the hard to please.
Likewise, you younger men, be subject to the older men. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility and serve one another. God resists the proud, but gives loving kindness to the humble.
Show respect to the elderly, and honor older people. In this way you show respect for your God. I am Jehovah.
Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the congregation and gave himself up for it. This is so he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word. So he will be able to present the congregation to himself as a glorious congregation, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing. It should be holy and without blemish.read more.
In this way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his own wife loves himself. No man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also does the congregation. And we are members of his body! For this reason a man will leave his father and mother, and will stick (adhere) (cleave) (be joined) to his wife. The two will become one flesh. This secret is great! I speak with regard to Christ and of the congregation. Each one of you should love his own wife even as himself. The wife should respect her husband.
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of God.
I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, They should be made for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
I exhort the elders among you. I too am an older man and a witness of the sufferings of Christ. I am also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed. Shepherd the flock of God in your care. Exercise the oversight, not of constraint, but willingly, according to the will of God. Do not do it for dishonest gain, but eagerly. Do not lord it over your charge, but make yourselves examples to the flock.read more.
When the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
