You are great and powerful, glorious, splendid, and majestic. Everything in heaven and earth is yours, and you, O Jehovah, are king, supreme ruler over all.

I have bound myself with an oath. A word has gone out from my righteous mouth that will not be recalled. Every knee will bow to me and every tongue will swear allegiance.

At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven and my understanding returned to me. I blessed the Most High and I praised and honored the one who lives forever. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are considered as nothing. He does according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of earth. None can stop him, or say to him: 'What do you do?'

What shall we say then? Is there injustice with God? There is not! He says to Moses, I will show mercy to the one I choose to show mercy, and I will feel compassion for the one I choose to feel compassion. So then it does not depend on mans will or effort, but on God who shows mercy.read more.
The scripture says to Pharaoh: For this reason I have raised you up, that I might through you, show my power and declare my name in all the earth. He shows mercy to the one he chooses, and he allows others to be stubborn. You say to me: Why does he yet find fault? Who resists his purpose (will)? Yes, but you, O man, who are you to answer back to God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it: Why have you made me this way? (Isaiah 45:9) Or does the potter not have authority over the clay? Can he make out of the same lump one vessel to honor, and another for common use? (Jeremiah 18:6)

In the end Christ will deliver the kingdom to God the Father. Christ will destroy every ruler and all authority and all power. According to the Scriptures: God has placed all things under his control (subjection). (Ephesians 1:22) But when he said all things are placed under him, it is with the exception of [God]. For [God] is the one who placed all things under him (Christ). (1 Peter 3:22) (John 3:35) When all things shall be subdued under the Son, then the Son will also be subjected to God who put all things under him, that God may be all in all (ruler over everything).

I would have you know, that the head (authority) of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

He existed in the form (shape and nature) of God but did not try to be equal with God. He did not even consider it!

I do not do my own will. I came down from heaven to do the will of him that sent me.

Then he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed: My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.

He said: Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Take this cup from me. Even so not what I will, but what you will.

He prayed: Father if it is your will remove this cup from me, nevertheless not my will, but your will be done.

He existed in the form (shape and nature) of God but did not try to be equal with God. He did not even consider it! He emptied (humbled) himself by taking the form of a servant. He was made in the likeness of men. He obtained the appearance as a man, humbled himself, and became obedient even to death, yes, death on the stake.

In the days of his life on earth, when he [Christ] offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to the one who was able to save him out of death, and was heard because of his godly reverence. (Galatians 1:1) (Psalm 69:13) Although he was a Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.

He is the image (likeness) (representation) of the invisible God. He is the firstborn (Greek: prototokos: childbirth, offspring) of all creation. All things in the heavens and upon the earth where created through him. The things visible and invisible were created through him. Whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him. He is before all things, and through him all things originate.

He has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, through whom he made the ages (Greek: aion: ages of time, perpetuity, worlds, generations, human entities). God's Son is the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his being. He sustains all things by his powerful word. After Jesus purged our sins, he sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. He has become better than the angels and has inherited a more excellent name than theirs.

He operated in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places. It is far above all governments and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. He (God) put all things in subjection under his feet, and made him head over all things to the congregation,

You are made full (complete) (perfect) (mature) in him. He is the head over all government and authority.

You put all things in subjection under his feet. You subjected all things to him and left nothing that is not subject to him. Now we do not see yet all things in subjection to him.

By speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in all things to him. For he, Christ, is the head. The entire body is properly framed and fitted together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in due measure of each individual part. It makes the body increase by building itself in love.

For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the congregation, he being the savior of the body.

He did not subject the world to come that we speak about to the angels. But a certain witness has given proof, saying: What is man, that you are mindful of him? You rescued me from my conflicts with the people. You made me the leader of nations. A people I did not know will serve me:

Let every person be subject to superior authorities. For there is no authority except by God. God allows the authorities to serve in their positions. Whoever opposes the authority resists the ordinance of God. Those who resist will receive judgment. For rulers are objects of fear, not to good works, but to the evil. Will you not have respect for the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from it.read more.
He is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid for he does not bear the sword in vain. He is the minister of God, an avenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil. You must be in subjection, not only because of that wrath, but also for the sake of your conscience. That is why you pay taxes. They are God's ministers continually serving this very purpose.

Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it is to the king, or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do good.

Ahi son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, was head of their family.

Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the congregation, he being the savior of the body. The congregation is subject to Christ. Likewise let the wives also be to their husbands in everything.

Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

In like manner, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands. Even if your husband does not obey God's word, he may be won without a word by observing the way you live. Your husband could see your chaste behavior coupled with respect (reverence). Your appearance should not come from the outward adornment, things like braiding the hair, and wearing jewels of gold, or wearing fine apparel.read more.
Let your appearance be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible apparel of a meek and quiet spirit. This is of great value in the sight of God. The holy women of old, who hoped in God, adorned themselves this way, being submissive to their own husbands. Sarah obeyed Abraham and called him lord. You are her children now, if you do what is right and are not fearful.

We ask you, brothers, to appreciate those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you.

Saul returned from fighting the Philistines. He declared: I have heard that David is in the desert around En-Gedi. Saul led three thousand of Israel's best soldiers out to look for David and his men near Wild Goat Rocks at En-Gedi. There were some sheep pens along the side of the road. One of them was built around the entrance to a cave. So Saul went into the cave to relieve himself. David and his men were hiding at the back of the cave.read more.
They whispered to David: Jehovah told you he was going to let you defeat your enemies and do whatever you want with them. This must be the day Jehovah was talking about. David sneaked over and cut off a small piece of Saul's robe and Saul did not notice. Later David's conscience bothered him because he had cut off the edge of Saul's robe. He told his men: Stop talking foolishly. We are not going to attack Saul. He is my king. I pray that Jehovah will keep me from doing anything to harm his chosen king. David stopped his men by saying this to them. He did not let them attack Saul. Saul left the cave and went out onto the road.

Jehovah of Hosts, the Almighty (Ruler) (Sovereign) is going to take all support and supply of food and water from Jerusalem and Judah. He will take their heroes and soldiers, judges and prophets, fortunetellers and statesmen, military leaders and civilian leaders, counselors, skilled workers, and experts in magic.read more.
I will make boys their leaders. Childish tyrants will govern them. People will oppress each other. Everyone will harass his neighbor. The young will tyrannize the old. The common people will taunt their superiors. A person will grab one of his relatives from his father's family and say: You have a coat. You will be our leader. This pile of ruins will be under your control. Then the relative will cry out: I am not a healer! I do not have any food or a coat in my home. Do not make me a leader of the people.

Obey those who lead you. Submit to them: for they watch in behalf of your lives and must account for this. Obey them that their work may be a joy and not a burden; that would be without gain for you.

I exhort the elders among you. I too am an older man and a witness of the sufferings of Christ. I am also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed. Shepherd the flock of God in your care. Exercise the oversight, not of constraint, but willingly, according to the will of God. Do not do it for dishonest gain, but eagerly. Do not lord it over your charge, but make yourselves examples to the flock.

Be subject (obedient) (subordinate) to one another in reverence of Christ.
